It was the TEMPERATURE

So...

This is a message to those who may benefit.

My plants have been severely messed up with all sorts of deficiencies, yellowing, twisted, crinkled, PM, screwed up everything basically and i have successfully managed to lose much sleep over all of it thinking that this particular grow is past salvaging

And then...
Got the heater fixed in the house finally...cuz it was brrr brrr

temps are NOW up around 68-70 (from low 50s), humidity down around 40% (from high 60s) and the plants in the last 24 hours have got GREEN color again and have shown a rapid growth and response to nutrients

Please anyone with F---ed up plants worried that they've got all these things they need to do and buy chill out and check out your temps. Apparently it was screwing my girls and I feel like the luckiest fool for finally figuring out what was happening.

Anyway, just letting you know sometimes all it may be is messed up temps
Peace everyone and stay warm!

Temperature can play a large role for sure. I just moved to a new location with totally different weather patterns, etc. My first run of girls here are doing what your talking about. Temp at night is dropping allot and it's playing a role on root mass.

Glad, to hear you got your garden sorted out.
Take care,

What space heater do you use that has a good thermostat and keeps the temps at 75?

Most of the space heaters I see at the store or say the one i use for my computer room just run 24/7 without a real thermostat....

cellardweller - no camera man sorry but I can explain a little more. I'm no expert on these forums but can say when my plants look F---ed up versus looking beautiful.

Cold temps seemed to have inhibited all sorts of nutrient uptakes in my plants, I was looking at possible cal/mag problems, potassium deficiencies, strange yellowing starting on the newest growth and continuing down the whole plant, clawing, droopiness (plants in coco coir) strange boron resembling deficienies, NO growth whatsoever in 4 weeks flowering looking stil like small twisted clones...man...i could keep going with my speculating. Basically I was ready to throw in the towel because I couldn't pinpoint a cure for all of these ailments. Got the gas heater pumping into all the rooms and suddenly we're seeing some growth again, response to coco a and b nutes, yellowing is gone, pretty much everything I couldn't put a finger on...needs no finger anymore, ha.

I'm not saying this has been a cure all yet...flowering times have been severely pushed back and my yield will suffer alot I believe from all the stress but damn things have taken a 180 in the last 48 hours now, might have a crop after all...

cedardwellar, my post is almost the same thing: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=107162

click on my gallary and theres all the pics you need.

this what your plants were doin sound healer? sound, Puget sound?
i had red leaves as well, looked like MO deficiency. checked, rechecked my ph, went nuts.

all the red leaves you see here got yellow, HARD (all the leaves on the plant seemed to harden) and died. most all the yellow leaves on the babies died too. after a repot to 1" deeper pots they are doing better. other than suffering some from me over fertilizing in my panic state.

:yeahthats

With some strains you can get by with low temps, but some are really sensiteve to low temps.
Right now I got some Santa Marias that are OK near the heater, but get worse the further they are from heater.
All Swazis I have don't mind the chill at all...

Oh, and Hi everybody! (my first post)
