Issues in soil

Reaching out to the collective genius here on ICMag. I've always had a hard time with soil, sometimes I can identify issues and resolve them, but I tend to have continued problems.

A big part is my soil, I'm using local organic soil from around here, but It's not the most active or nutrient heavy, so I feed with Botanicare Grow and CalMag every third watering once a seedling or clone starts to show some yellowing. Three of the plants I have in soil are having a lot of problems. I'm thinking it's an over feeding issue, but I wanted to see what others have in terms of input. First I'll list my feeding information then some pics.

Reverse osmosis water used for all waterings - pH varies from 6.5 - 7.2 from the tap. I've verified this with a pen and using pH testing solution. I usually water to saturation but not much beyond that and they are all showing tip burn if I exceed 350 PPM. I gave them all a flush today at pH 7 to see if that helps them clear up a bit.

Here are my past feedings for a few weeks:

Hi GG

I don't know about quality of water or your feedings, but plants looks like root rot/damage to me.
Seems like you have great grow skill and experience on hydro, I doubt you failed feedings in itself.
However if you watered 10 times in few weeks that's way too much.
Generally incorrect watering cycle and bad soil lead to root rot.

I had thought about that. I try not to water until they are showing that they're thirsty, but its definitely possible that most but not all of the soil is drying out. I wonder if I've got wet patches in the root zones that are not fully drying out?

Here's the intervals I watered at:

6 days

10 days

12 days

2 days
light watering
8 days

4 days

Yes, I think you didn't get fully drying out. When you transplant small plant in bigger pot you need attention more. Those soil won't dry long time more than you expected.
Also I guess low temp affected them. In winter you can get root rot quite easily.
May be you need to try transplant smaller pot and keep dry condition.

This link help you.

i would pop that plant in the smallest container out and check the roots....those plants resemble mine when i had RA...the pots would never dry out and the leaves would die from bottom to top...

good luck
