i noticed this prob friday nite. after lookin at stich's sticky i came to conclusion its a mag def. am i right? epsom salts will take care of it but much do i use? thanks for the help
Immobile elements (mg. ca, ect.) usually show in new growth, first. A mobile (N,P,K) element will show on old growth. An mg def plant will have lighter colored outer edges on the new growth and eventually on most of the leaves. You can find a picture in the infirmary, Stiches has a sticky on everything like this.
i did check out stich's sticky and i think its magnesium def but i just want to get a second opinion on it before i do anything. i hope somebody chimes in to help me out.
btw thanks for the compliment on the plants. im trying my best.
Mg/suph. deficiencies will show-up on brand new growth first. It will look like 'Neon bright yellow' in coloration. It will eventually spread outward and down the plant. If you let it get that far..you're babies have had it!! On one of my very first grow's ever..I lost two really nice plants to mg/sulpher Def.To this day I always ammend my soil with 1 tablespoon/gal of epsom salts. You can take 2tsp. of Epsom salts, dissolve it completly in a small cup of warm water and add that into you're normal watering routine.Hope this helps.
It might not be anything at all, maybe a reaction to a certain amount of temp change or something, before you go nuts trying to play doctor and feeding it all kinds of shit, just let it grow man.
The plant looks very healthy, chances are it will outgrow any problem being so healthy and all, I say keep an eye on that leaf over the next week for any changes, if it gets worse, positively identify problem and treat accordingly, other than that, just let the plant do it's thing.
Remember to not overmother them, they look fine with leaves on a 45 deg angle, that's usually a good sign of health and vigor.
Once you transplant them to a bigger pot they'll even out fert wise, spotting for cal or mag is usually an issue in flowering hit the bullseye (while high obviously) lol.
Whenever you see the first sign of a deficienty I always suggest giving them a tea with molasses, liquid seaweed, worm castings and from what I've been readin lately a small amount of alfalfa meal.
Teas make elements in the soil more available so giving a tea is a low impact solution when you are worried about a def, they cannot make a problem worse because they contain a trace amount of ferts but activate the soil which is resets it in alot of ways.

When you transplanting those, they will be do soon enough?
im not panicked bbc but u did hit in on the nail. after thinking about what might have caused this blemish i realized it is temp change. i accidentally left my heater on at nite 2 days in a row. the leaves usually just curl up a little but part of the leaf i guess just really got dried out or something like that.
anyway i didnt give my plants anything to fix it so things are good.
i do have a tea brewing for my four plants right now
liquid seaweed
molasses
ewc
alfalfa

Suby man
about the transplanting. ive thought about transplanting them. but the grower who helps me out told me not to. the last time i transplanted them was on the 25 jan. according to his theory and experience the roots will just grow up and down and when i do transplant them they will explode. so i just keep feeding them teas. as long as they as they are healthy im not concerned. they have been in veg now for almost 6 weeks.
Well Jaykush knows his shit, if I remember corectly he is mentoring you through this grow, he is very good and if you are running with him I certainly do not want to step on his toes.
7 weeks seems like a long time based on their size but they look healthy, if they were rootbound then you would know they would look like shit.
If you need extra support while you wait for him to come back post it here or in the OFC.
