Is this powdery mildew??

I cant seem to find any closeup pics of this stuff but I only looked through the first page of results. I could use some more airflow so Im going to add another fan or two right now. My humidity only goes up to 45%, temp 72F during lights off during the day, its been 80-100 degrees outside for the last 2 weeks. It drops to 25% at night, temps 84-88 degrees when the lights are on. I didnt think this was moist and cool enough but maybe it is. These pics are on one of the clones

Please help me save the lavenders in the front and 2 clones in the very back, the dj in the middle looks fine.

lower the humidity and buy some sarinade consentrate, some on theas bords say to use other remidies but i use sarinade. im reading about useing ph up and spraying w/that, the ph fluxuation will destroy powdery mildue ismy understanding... cuting out some of the under growth and leafs that are infected also leafs that reduce airflow in the canopy should be removed, ive found thinning up the cannopy a bit to help fight mildue and lower humidity/help with airflow..

everything but a sulfer burner ive tried soo far, some strains ive had to cut out of my graden cause they were like magnets for powder midue. other plants wont be inffected unless others in the same room are, so cycle after cycle if one strain shows to accumulate this, maby think of another to rpelace and ask around for 1 that is resistant 2 mold!

i wouldnt step up the air untill a spray has been applied or atleast some of the infected leafs removed, or you'd just be blowing spoors back onto the grow. best to enoculate the foliage first then step up cerculation/ventilation fans. ive been told to shut all fans off even the ventilation when the lights go off when applying sarinade, since my portable AC has been taken out of storage im at 30% rh and ive only had the mildue on clone stock in a humidity dome, diping them in the sarinade solution proved effective/not the roots just the clone upside down.

ive found poweder muildue to start on the stem in some cases and move to the leafs as it spreads, very tricky to spot in the stems but they must be sprayed 2!

I guess Im surprised the rh gets that high during the day and even more shocked to see this stuff.

Do you guys think more airflow and keeping the rh below 40% should keep it at bay? I have noticed it came on very slowly over the last several weeks so it cant be "ideal" conditions for this stuff or else my cab would look as dusty as my room! jk my room aint that bad. I have fans ready to go. I was waiting for the stretch to complete, trim some more lower leaves/shoots then add the fans under neith blowing up through the canopy. The time has come!

Im not exactly sure what a sulphur burner is but I think that'd be tough to use with roommates in the house (theres almost always someone home) and not arouse suspicion. It stanks like stank-ass, ass Im guessing? I read something called serenade works well if you spray at beginning of lights out and keep fans on.

thanks, shes a babe

kalikush- don't use the serenade, that stuff smells horrible. I didn't even want to go into the growroom for two days after i sprayed that stuff.

I would reccommend using Dutchmasters Zone and the Penetrator as a foliar spray or a dip. This is the best stuff i have come across...it works great and does not smell. I have even sprayed un-rooted clones with this and it didn't stunt them at all. use the zone at 10ml per gallon and use the penetrator at the reccommended dosage. These are both a little expensive at about $20 a quart, but I think they are definitly worth it.

I also reccommend that you go to the thread titled "powdery mildew RX for flowering plants" and READ THE WHOLE THING if you havne't done so already.

good luck :joint:

Whatever

I used Serenade and found no residual problems affecting fragrance/flavor and yes it smells pretty strong. Problem I found with Serenade is it seems to loose it's effectiveness over the course of the grow and the PM came back faster. You're gonna need to clean you're grow space out thoroughly after the cycle. A friend told me to heat the space to 87F for an extended period but Ed said something like 100+. I'd be on the safe side and heat to 100 for at least one hour to make sure all the spores are killed.

Yes...I've heard Zone and Penetrator do a great job. From what I understand Zone is a 'special' form of chlorine.

Something like that...

Thanks for the input guys!

I added a fan last night that provides way more airflow to most of the plants and I plan to add a couple smaller fans today as well.

If the added airflow and the max humidity stays around 40% and under, should this be enough to cause the PM to recide? Or will I need to spray the whole area or heat to over 100F or something drastic like that?
