Shit, I wish I could just click my plants and they would get larger! :muahaha:

Looks a little crispy like too much nutes, but I'll let the real soil pros tell you what they think.

To answer the thread title question...No, it's not a light burn, it IS something else.

They are looking either mg def or or a K def, but you said you're not feeding them anything but water at this point. which points a finger at the need to feed or that the mediums pH is way off causing trouble for the plant to uptake nutrition from that soil.

The best way to address this is to begin giving them a good but not too strong feeding, using a well balanced quality nute with micros included.

What do you have available for nutes right now ?
You havent mentioned whats in the medium, or what type of soil you have ?
Did you ammend the soil with anything...like additional dolomite lime etc ?
Also what are you getting for pH of the runoff water ?

I hope you cut or drilled pleanty of drainage holes in those plastic coffee containers?

Its really shooting from the hip to say much here if you don't answer all of the questions above.

So far I see you have a decent assortment of nutes available, but we really need the full info here.

drop your ph and go from there, that is the first thing that will lead you to your next step

You need more drainage, I don't see any perlite or any drainage material in there- looks like solid soil. With MG soil it will become very hot/acidic quickly without cutting that to at least 30% perlite, so your ph is probably off as well. I suggest transplanting into some perlite and FF soil, but I think your main problem is the build up due to no drainage.
