Just my opinion, now I'm only into mixing my own medium for a few times. But I have cycled it from cuttings to flower, working well, however it is not perfect, but I'm still formulating it each mix up.
Once I mix mine up, I snow shovel it into Rubbermaid dedicated trash cans, they have never held trash.
But a couple of times, when I lifted the lids, the entire top was covered in white mold, and I'm taking that as my beneficial organisms doing it's thing.
There is no foul smell to it, nor is it like rotted food.
Since I used these totes as reservoirs once upon a time, when I taped up a hole for tubing to go through it, the mold did not come back.
I do NOT see it as anything harmful myself.
