Is this a nitrogen deficiency?

This is a Jack Herer being grown 12/12 from seed in some potting soil + perlite (not miracle grow) and in an 8 inch container. Its about a month old now. About a week ago I noticed the bottom leaves turning slightly yellow and fed the plant for the first time, 1/4 strength AN Jungle Juice Micro, Bloom, and Grow. I waited about 2-3 days until it needed water again and fed it the same strength, and that was about three days ago. Growth has pretty much stopped/really slowed down. I don't think I should have fed twice in such a short period, bu anyways... Here is the plant now. The leaves are still yellowing a bit higher up and there is (I think) some small nutrient burn on some of the leaves. Can anyone confirm, and help me get my plant growing again?

Also though I might note, I have had some fungus gnats. Not a huge amount of them, and I've been taking care of them and such, but is there any way they might have something to do with this? They really seem to like this plant, so that's why I ask.

yes...looks like the start of a nitrogen deficiency to me. your plant hasn't even started flowering yet so i don't think you need the bloom right now, just do the grow and micro for a couple weeks then switch to bloom when it shows the first signs of flowering. i think you need to up your doses too. jungle juice grow is a 2-1-6 fertilizer so you could probably feed at 1 teaspoon per gallon twice a week. make sure you are letting the soil dry out some before watering. the soil should never feel wet unless the plant is near root bound. if you have fungus gnats i'm guessing you keep the soil too wet.

Fungus nats can easily slow or halt the growth of your plant. It all starts with their larva in the soil. They will chew away at the roots making the leaves cup or curl.

As long as your not trying to feed the plants really strong fertilizer you should have no problem fertilizing with every feed. Make sure you get some run off every time you water or feed or salts can and will build up.

You do have a nitrogen deficiency starting but it shouldn't be a problem as long as you watch it. Wait till the plant is almost dry, I prefer the lift test to check and see how much water the container is holding. If its too heavy then wait longer between watering or feeding.

If you leaves look as dark as s00thsayer's icon then you have over fertilized the plant. Ive got a few which did manage to get that dark with out the tips really burning...

a good way to combat the fungus nats is yellow fly cards to keep an eye on the population and then using a neem oil flush, Azamax flush or going with predatory nematodes. If you don't have a serious infestation you can try Mosquito dunks(crumbled an put in the containers) or gnatrol.
