I am not sure what this is. It is pictured here on a OG Kush plant, but I have had it on other plants.

Roots can form just about anywhere if the conditions are right.

Check this out, clone of some PowerKush, trimmed off the lower fans to reduce transpiration, left some petiole...... it rooted into thin air! And NO i didn't get any gel on the petiole.

nature never ceases to amaze me. As someone said already....If the conditions are right. I guess anything is possible. Damn I love doing what I/We do...

Yep, for sure just roots and no worries as mentioned....not only can you get roots just about anywhere, but you can also get BUDS just about anywhere as well!

I dont think I still have the pic anymore but an older Durban Poison strain from years ago use to grow buds right dead in the center of its huge 9 blade fan leafs! It would grow right in the center where all the blades of the fan leaf join.......trippy!

is the plant severely root bound in it's container...???
sum strains w/ woody stems...become more active to make roots and survive...
specially if U have removed a lot of undergrowth and scuffed up / scared up the plant tissue of the main stalk....the plant is then trying to compensate for that....
