use a program like "jstrip" to remove data stored in pictures taken from ur digital camera.. this won't lead them to u, but it would allow someone to know what type of camera the picture was taken with and possibly the serial number of the device.

Internet security is highly debated, but let me just say this.. No one seems be hearing a DAMN thing about any getting in trouble from evidence first gathered on the net. NOT A SINGLE ONE! That being said my opinion is that you are perfectly safe. Just don't include your self or any body else in the pictures. No finger prints or hand writing either.

Sure there is some risk, but its very low and it is worth the GREAT BENEFITS :]

Mods admitted one person's pics led to arrest, but the pic had specific buildings in back to identify said pic pothead, so just be careful.

A lot depends on what state you live in and how active the narco police R.

so my question is. Is there a risk to posting pics of your garden? .

Short Answer: Yes.
However if your not an idiot doing things such as posting your video grow on youtube with a user name that resembles your full name, (and including dumb shit in a pic) then 99% of that risk goes away. But like I said there is still risk. Most people who don't post things are thinking more along the lines if they were to be caught by some other way, they would raid your computer for evidence which could hurt your case severely and if you are prone to something like that I would not post! My :2cents:

There was a lawyer named Luthor on this web site and OG who stated nothing on these websites can be used against you as it could have been posted by anyone, from anywhere and being virtual maybe complete fiction as pictures can be obtained from anywhere in virtual space. So according to him post away freely.

be smart about it.. (dont take a picture of yourself rolling around in your harvest with your name and address written on your t-shirt)...obviously exageratingbut, you kno what i mean.

Am I the only one who wants to do bad things to those rednecks after reading that thread? I mean ,sure, the guy is a first-class dipshit, but...........

To answer the op's question... Kinder hit the nail on the head. As long as you're careful about what you're posting like your face and fingerprints and serial #s on your equipment, you should be ok as long as you use a proxy and strip the metadata from your pics.

Of course if you get raided for something else and leo checks your computer that's a pretty big nail in your coffin. People don't seem to understand that law enforcement in the U.S. can do anything they want and it's up to you to pay 30-40 grand in lawyer fees to question their methods.
