with both bits an' all?

i acquired a seed which i decided to experiment with just to see what would happen and how badly i could treat it before it died, ignoring most of the advice i'd ever heard i went about giving the seed the wrong conditions from start to finish. It defied my will and sprouted and then grew even though it didn't receive proper light on my windowsill in the small pot that i planted it in. I topped it quite brutally and amazingly it responded well and continued to grow taller still, it then flowered and remains to do so even though it's frequently shocked with light throughout the night. A couple of days ago however it grew something that i don't recognise as i have only a ever seen females and have never actually seen a male plant up close. i'll post some pictures and hopefully someone will be able to shed some light as to what is growing on my plant and maybe fill me in as to what type of variety it might be, oh yeah it stinks as well, quite a spicy peppery smell. I seem to remember it coming from a bag that someone described as being haze if that helps.

for real? just snip them off? what will happen if i leave them? will the plant seed? would any potential seed then be more susceptible to being a hermie?

will it seed itself? i wouldn't mind doing that as the plant seems to be otherwise of stable growth and its pretty hard wearing. I have no other plants so it doesn't matter.

not worth it seeds. if you have a job or a life then dont bother picking pollen sacks. your not going to get much herb from that plant. but its always fun to experiment with plants. good luck

cheers guys, i'll snip them in a semi-religious ceremony and finish her as a girl to see how far a badly treated plant can go.

well if i remember rightly the male sacks only appeared about 3 times before it stopped altogether, after that i proceded to mis-treat the plant and yet it still looked great and smelt awesome. i chopped her 2 days ago as most of the hairs had turned colour and well i was gagging to get the little amount of bud dried/cured then blazed. she's drying nicely so here's some pics of her prior to the great snip:

click on the pics for close ups, especially on pic 1 :joint:

now i gotta wait until next spring to grow again as i have zero indoor space :(

Im a believer that any experience is good experience. Seed it, snip and pick it, whatever... Just keep it. If you have no experience with this, you will when its finished, whatever you get will be more than you had. Keep it easy ~caddy

You should mind spreading hermie genes around, no reason to piss into the genepool.
No problem growing them, but for HER sake, do not spread this kind of seeds, even in your own garden...
Learn cloning instead, way easier and better than going from seed everytime.

Dude, who said anything about spreading them. Youd have to be an idiot to pass hermie seeds around, anyone knows that, besides it'd be embarrasing as hell. Also, there will always be hermies, always has, always will. They dont really go around, most hermies are stress induced anyways, its only certain instances like this where experienced is the fruit gained. But hey, he still got some herb to smoke and all is good. Keep it easy ~caddy

it's true that the main point here was experience and i have studied the plant daily for all these days now and it's helped further my understanding.

thanks for your interest :joint:
