Is PBP grow less likely to burn small plants than FF grow big?

This is a question for folks that have used both grow big by fox farm and PBP for veg,I know grow big should be used sparingly to say the least for smaller vegging plants, what about PBP.Is it easy to burn small vegging plants with that fert?Personally I like 5-1-1 fish emulsion for the smaller vegging plants but I got stuck with a big jug of PBP grow and have never used it before, only grow big and 5-1-1

Foxfarm is more likely to burn your plants. It is a much stronger fert. As long as you follow the directions it is a good fert though.

Yep, JJ is right as usual. Fox farm will burn your plants alot easier. I prefer PBP over fox farm for that reason, and the fact that PBP is ph buffered unlike FF. Like JJ said just make sure you don't overfeed, especially if they are young. If this is their first feeding give them 1/4 dosage and slowly move it up to your desired level. Good Luck!

Make sure you shake it well before you use it. I am doing my first grow with it since switching from FF and so far I am liking it.

JJ, You are so right my friend! I gave it a batch of PBP without shaking and it really bitch slapped my plants. After a good flush, there back again.

Never used foxfarm but PBP is the SHIT!

I like the way grow big knocks down my ph to around 6.5,did you say PBP wont affect water ph at all?

Well I don't know about at all. I used to use earth juice and with PBP I use only 1-2 PH up droplets compared to .... well... around 20 with earth juice. If you hate adjusting all the time and have irregular runoffs, give PBP a try, since I started using it I have yet to have had a PH problem.

Also... what are you growing in... you say "knocks it down to 6.5" but 6.5 is the 'ideal' soil PH... perhaps you were not being sarcastic when you say "I like how..."

I am high.

Yep, i noticed the same thing. Before PBP i would have to add over a 1/2 teaspoon of ph down to get to 6.5-6.8. With PBP it takes about a 1/4 that...a little over an 1/8 of a teaspoon.
