Did anyoneever backcross Ortega or was it a clone only... as I mentioned... with out OG and the info I had stored on it I am lost after 2yrs of being out of the game

The ortega that Red/Legends had was in seed form and I know nothing of more being made. I hear there are Ortega clones in some Cali clubs but your guess is as good as mine as to its authenticity. An Ortega pheno of LUI may suit your needs. I loves me some LUI.

Subcool used to sell something with Ortega in it. I think it was Astroboy, I grew it a few years back and remember it being pretty good. Best bet would be LUI.
