These are my plants after 13 days. They look pretty desapointing. I dont know what wrong with them. They have been in the DWC now for 2 weeks. I used the Lucas feeduing system at half strength when i set the system up the ppm is at 500 and it was at 600 two days ago. The rez temp is a bit hot at 36 degrees celcius. and my PH looks good. almost a nice shade of green. one plant has wethered up and died. The other a light fell on and it died so im down to four. Maybe I should put more nutes in. I dont know what to do. Please help. And the roots have not reached down into the water yet.

rez is waaaaaay too hot - it should be 65 F (18 - 19 c). No nutes - flush the plants heavy with pure water, and then just give 'em water or very very weak nutes.

Also try bringing level of water up to bottom of pots, and drop level once roots reach into it.

Good luck

week-en your nutes some more about another 100 ppm actually you want about 1/4 strength lucas formala for seedlings when they get there third set of leaves up to half then when the colodons (feeder leafs are almost dead) go up to ful 5mil micr 10 mil bloom

The room is basically my closet. The is a fan in there but no ventalation. I have a 400 watt MH/HPS light in there. The closet is extremelly hot. I brought some 2 liter plastic cheapo soda bottles. An I am going to lower the rez temp by freazing them and putting them in to lower the temp. I am not sure what i can do to add ventalation but am open to any ideas. I have a good amount of money invested in this grow and dont want to see it go to shit. I would say the room is defintaly in excess of 106 degrees. When i open the door its like a heat wave of air. I am sure that i can get the rez temp down with the bottles but the room temp is going to be hard. Its a standard closet, any suggestions???

1/2 strength lucas is 65 ppm nitrogen. You should be using more nitrogen = more growth. You need the grow part of your fertilizer. Open the closet door.

sproutco i use the lucas formula they will get enough nitrogen..i gave him the feedung schedule that i use...his temps are his main problem...seedlings feed off of ther colodones truth be known he doesen need but a 1/4 strength nutes if that at this stage

there are threads here for building coolers onto rez - using pc fans and pvc elbows.

Seriously consider this - the frozen bottles are bandaids at best - get those temps down, or your babies are cooked.

Will they get enough light with the door open? It would not be a problem. Its just me and my wife in the house. I had the asumption that closing the door somehow kept the light inside.

Unicorn and all thank you so much you guys are saving my grow.

yes they will get enough light with it open...just make a little half wall(safty blanket) up to the light area and leave the rest open...get the dual fan you can have one blowing fresh in...and the other extracting old out
