Is my Blumat tensio meter repaireble?

One of my Blumat tensio meters does not perform as it should.

The indicator remains at 0 at all times, while the air bubble gets significantly bigger but without emptying the whole pipe.

It's already an oldy of some 6+ years post purchase, but still my 2 others that I buyed in the same order seem to work fine.

On thisone, the thread has got a bit lame so I coiled some of the white tape around it that plumbers use in order to make things air leak proof.
Teflon tape I believe it is called.
I coilded some electricience tape over the outside too, but still the device reacts the same way.

Now I am thinking maybe the ceramic cone could have gone worse over time, so my next best trial would be to fill up the hole with pure clay and then dip it in, but I haven't tried it yet.

I am not familiar with the mechanism inside the indicator and can imagine that the centre rubber has got porous over time maybe?

Who oh who does recognise my problem and could tell how to fix it?

My soil is not too airy or dry, so please don't bother and bring that up as a possible cause.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
