some percentage of diffusion is always good, IME any greenhouse film will have its diffusion represented as a percentage. prevents hot spots and prevents dark spots. if you have that one tree that throws shade on your house for an hour as the sun passes behind it the diffusion will help (somewhat) to keep the interior illuminated evenly.
