is KISS the only 1 part nutrient system?

i did a couple KISS grows and my plants always had problems i couldnt figure out(spotting, fan leaves dying early in flowering). are there any other simple nute systems that work well? im starting to think it might be my water (ppm out the tap is like 65, ph 7.5) causing these problems but im not sure. thanks

I seriously doubt its your water; it sounds delicious! 200 or so is where to start worrying in general.

The more parts your nutrient system has the more control you have to give the plant what it wants. There is no one formula fits all system; each strain has its preferences. With one part you only have one factor to control: concentration. What ppm are you feeding with? If it is over 800 try cutting it in half, because it sounds like some minor nute burn.

Otherwise it could be an imbalance of sorts (hard to tell without more info or pics) which is probably quite difficult to fix with a one part nutrient.

Using a lucas formula or a modified lucas formula or similar gives you a little more control.

Best results I had with a "one part" was running the FloraNova Bloom.
Used 5ml per g on mature plants every feeding up to the last 2 weeks in flower then flushed. Yield wasn't as substantial as when using the other supplementals but still good over all quality. Cheaper too. Obviously. I went back to adding the Floralicious+ and Liquid Kool bloom though. And keep a bottle of Grow to use with certain strains to better meet their needs at certain phases of growth.

What does that mean? Exactly what were you using? Maxibloom?

Spotting? Fan leaves dying...could be tons of factors...from humidity to too moist soil. What is your system? Your medium? Your fert?

Need some more info in order to help.

Flora Nova does work great as a one part...one of the best. But you can get that up to 8 to even 10 mL per gal pushing BIG girls toward the end. You'll get bigger harvests.

Good Luck, look forward to more info...

Rambro, Welcome to the forums.
Please provide as much detail as possible. What kind of medium were you using, What size containers, what ppm and PH did you use for the feed, What were the nutrients you used and or the feed schedule... ETC All of this info can be clues as to what may have happened.
Its hard to say with out more info

Your water sounds really clean, I am going to rule that out. My water come out the tap at around 200 PPM and I still get great results. I cant afford the RO filter i want so im just making due with what I got atm.

Damn, I WISH my tap was 65ppm. With tap that low, and your desciption of spots on the leaves, it sounds like a Calcium def. More info would help though...

If by K.I.S.S. you mean maxibloom... I wouldn't switch just yet.

You would be doing yourself a great favor if you figured out what was wrong first... it's not the nutrient (unless your maxibloom is damaged).

Was your environment perfect?

Was a full pH swing provided?

There are many variables that depend on you... once you get 'you' figured out, the rest is easy. :D
