Is it Too late to grow?

For someone that lives where the weather is warm/hot and humid, Would it be too late to start some plants (c99, SSH,) mid may?
Frost date being mid Feb. - early Dec.

of course not.

think about it, plants don't even start flowering until the equinox, which in i believe june. plants put out after that point won't grow vegetatively, they'll just focus on flowering. i put plants out at about this time last year, then put some out super late like late june. the yield was obviously different, but both were successfully pulled in, even in northern ohio.

good luck

Do you know what the latitude is where you live? If not if you type latitude into a search it will give you a link to check it. I live at 44 and I plant late May......

i'm in southern arizona and it's still too chilly at night. plants set out now won't suffer but neither will they grow much, if at all as they go dormant with cooler temps. i usually wait until mid to the end of may before turning them loose outdoors, or when the lowest temps are above 50f degrees. but in the meantime they're doing their thing under the lights so when it's time to go outside they're big enough to handle most of what awaits them...
