Hey guys,
so heres my situation:
I have a 4kw sealed bloom room, all the bells and whistles. 16-25 1g coco pots per 4x4, irrigated 5x daily. my res is 275 gallons, I have airsones/circulation pumps that turn on 5 minutes every hour to keep my res mixed and a heater to keep it between 60-65 degrees. this res will easily last me three weeks, if not longer.
I have a new strain I've been working with. SUPPOSEDLY, sour diesel. I've bloomed it once, 1 table, and it was a terrible run. I had neglected the room for about 10 days (burningman!!), and when I came back, I had a slough of hermies all throughout the room. This strain had to be cut at 70 days, and by this time, it was turning fairly purple. Because of the seeding/overfert/cold temps, the cola didn't fill out nearly like it should have; it stayed fat stemmed (false hope for greatness), but the buds didn't fill in/swell at all, and they turned fairly purple. In retrospect, I realized my room WAS kept too cold as I'm running higher co2 and rh levels, and I'm currently running it around 82 degrees canopy temp. I also have overfed the table of sour ds, so the leaves were far too dark, and even showed the nitrogen "claw". So I'm willing to accept that they might be sour ds, I just fucked them my first attempt of growing them. The finished bud was fairly seeded, and looked and smelled more like a purple trainwreck than a sour diesel.
I have 2 tables of this sour D now, in 8 or 9 days of bloom. Looking much much better. If they turn out nice, I have no problem letting them go 85 days.
This "sour diesel", has had what looks like TMV. Even the first batch of clones I purchased, all the sour ds had this spotty leaf lookin bullshit goin on. It was just when the plants were smaller, and maybe for the first month of their growth. They ended up looking great through flower (until the end), with no signs of this weird spotty leaf bullshit.
I took a batch of clones myself, and every one of the clones has this same leaf symptoms all through veg. It's not every leaf, but enough leaves to be noticeable, and it will fade as the plants grow larger.
I initially thought broad mites, but it has never spread to any other strains in the room, and the other strains have performed flawlessly. Besides, I've scoped for mites and haven't been able to find any broad eggs. There are also no other broad mite symptoms.
Either way, I have a large amount of uncoated aspirin. I have used it before, feeding aspirin water for a day or two every so often, and the plants ALWAYS responded well to aspirin water. I would like to add aspirin to my res, in an attempt to boost the plants immune system and possibly help fight this variegation/leaf bullshit. I just don't know if i can overdo the aspirin. I would hate to hurt my plants with it, as this run is looking flawless so far.
Can it potentially hurt my plants to give them a light dose of aspirin in each of the 5x daily waterings, for 3 weeks at a time? I know the regular dose s 325mg per gallon, I could easily do this. I could also half the dose, to give them a milder immune boost. I just don't want to wait till my res is running low to be able to add some aspirin (this would be the only way for me to water the plants with the aspirin water for just a few days). My res is about full right now, and by the time it got down to a few days of waterings left, the plants would be half way through their bloom cycle.
I can also foliar with aspirin if people recommend?
Here's a picture of the leaf problem I'm experiencing with this strain:

I can take pictures of my plants if anybody wishes.
