Is it really Elvis?

A friend just stopped by and said he had a new hookup who always has good stuff compared to the usual. He said he got some Elvis this time, so I checked around and it looks like a clone only from the Northeast, so the story fits. The high was definitely impressive, but I'm not too good at smoke reports so I'll just leave with a picture.

Edit: Oh yeah, and he had it in a sealed prescription pill bottle in his pocket, and as soon as he walked into the room I could smell it. It was a pretty powerful odor.

I don't really care much, it was great bud either way. Intense high, but it seems to be wearing off now, only about an hour and a half after I smoked it. Most of the time I feel high for at least 2.5 or 3 hours, but who knows.

What interests me is if it's from around here, which means I might be able to get a cut of it eventually.

^^Looks kinda leafy but....maybe?
The northeast has been raving over elvis the past couple years. Your nug pretty damn familiar, as I reside in the noreast as well, it looks to be the infamous Elvis Diesal, but couldn't say for sure- but If you have the stuff I have seen, then it should stink pretty bad. It does have bright orange hairs with a light color green to the nugs. But you should definately be able to taste and smell the diesal funk these buds produce. I was able to score a cut from some friends at a festival this summer- but it was a cross made with blue velvet and ElvisDeez.

So this bud definitely was a short lived high, but it was definitely a memorable high. I'll have to talk to some people to see if I can get my hands on it, I'd love to grow some of this out.

The Elvis is in the Northeast has been for years,...as far as getting those guys to give up a cut, good luck. I havent seen true elvis diesel around since the first bonnaroo. Original Elvis possesses a weird fake berry smell, elvis d is spicy lemon diesel ...it could possibly be Lisa Marie Rez's elvis x sd cross. peace DLB :joint:

So I might be getting a clone of this soon, if I manage that and grow it out, maybe we'll be able to tell a little better.

I have a very poor sense of smell. I was pretty high before he came over, I don't really remember it. If he manages to get it again I'll see if I can compare, I guess I don't really know what frankincense smells like either though.

i just peeped smokeypuffmaster's growthread and was suprised to see elvis also being called "church"

i had heard elvis is a new england local cut... and its funny, i heard another strain being sold as church in seed form somewhere..

had no idea elvis/chruch were the same

i am sure i have smoked "church"

..a friend back around 2000 had a superior hook up in nyc who was selling "church" bud..

although it looked alot diferent... much more like white widow or some skunk... lots of red hairs

who knows though, time and growing methods seem to change everything

peace to you all

Looks like what people around here (NE) call "haze." Pretty common but still great stuff. May not be actual haze, but people around here are dumb and call everything that's bomb "haze." The church-y smell when burned is a dead givaway, if someone is smoking this stuff, you know right away.

I've seed the strain Elvis mentioned on the boards before, but I had no idea that it was this stuff. I guess you learn something new every day.
