Is it possible to have pistils showing in veg?

Hey IC,

I noticed some of my ladies look to be showing those two fine white hairs that come out in a v-shape. Those are pistils right? Aren't those only supposed to show in flower? I'm currently in veg and curious what this might mean.

Yes. Those are pistils.

No they don't only show up in flower.

They usually show around the 4-5 week mark in veg once the plant has reached a certain level of "maturity". Some refer to these as "pre-flowers". I just had some show sex at day 27 from Veg.

Totally normal. Enjoy.

Ahh ok. I was worried I had stressed them out and were worried they might go male or something. Good to know!

It is not a myth. I have grown several generations of Nirvana Bubbleicious all from the same clone. I had 3 rooted clones that I put in veg back when I was fighting Root Aphids. One of them turned full blown male while the other 2 stayed female. -granger

Totally normal. Thats how you weed out the females and the makes before you flower when growing from non feminized seed.

i sort of side with the moonlight theory...i think the main thing is just consistency, i feel that constant variation would affect more than a minor leak if the leak had always been there, but again the moon goes in phases so who knows

plants have grown fine outdoors for centenaries with moonlight and stars in the night sky
