Is it okay to top plants 3 days into flower?

I got 12 plants in a scrog and they are over growing the cabinet. I want to top them so they won't get to tall.

I am pretty sure if you top them, you will def. have a yield loss....

try tying the tops down to the screen, making them level..

Ive heard it will decrease yields and also heard it may increase yields...I would give them a nice vitamin tonic before and after topping...still early in flower and you don't want to stress them in any way in this stage....good luck with your decision..
take care
stay safe

Theres only about 1ft of space in between the screen and the glass.

yeah dude, i dont think you even have to tie them down.

just weave the tops back down underneath the screen...

should work fine

If you have to top them now, you're going to have a hell of time keeping them from getting burnt later in flowering.

The thing is they are growing allot faster in flower then in veg. So i'm trying to keep them low until they actually start budding.

What about bending the tops downward? That would slow down the growth but it would also slow down the flowering. :(

I did weave one but it keeps bending the stems like supercroping.

I agree, that should easily solve your dilemma without fubar-ing the yield.

Cut lower shit off and weave the nice shoots like Weezy said. Dont top now. Not enough time before that magical 1.5-2 week mark when buds start. If you top the plant will want some time to diffuse hormones and send its energy to the other shoots. dont confuse the ladie when its all you got bro. Weave those main shoots into the grid and watch how those colas form and STILL reach upward. I bet you weave those shoots and be the next morning they have reached up and no you'll (insert Borat voice)be one a happy guy :headbange  . The lower will be covered when the tops explode soon so hack that off too. You'll like the results. But def do it b4 they stretch UP too quick and the stems wont be pliable still. ANd dont worry about a little crease in the stem if you happen to mangle them a little. It'll be your 1st lesson in supercropping :joint: .

The hell with it I'm just gonna top them.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! its ur shit but weaving will be so much better and the tops (which give the main colas) will be intact and glorious. Chill brudda I've seen worse with less space. That shit looks great. Keep the colas!!! :headbange I wont bager ya anymore  just KEEP THE COLAS

So I just should take off the little side shoots at the bottom. i was thinking of using them for clones but oh well. I'll build me a bigger and better cloner tomorrow.

Well I weave them the best I could but most of the tops are facing down. Which means they are getting no light.

They will shoot back up I promise and find the light. Just weave them horizontally and you'll be good. If you want to take clones from the lower stuff that would be fine. Leave it on there until you got the clone machine. Althought I'd do it soon b4 buds apear. I just like taking clones during veg or from a designated mom. Leaving some larger fans leaves is good. I'd say after this trim no more but take off any lower growth you think is gonna be shadowed by the canopy.
