i'm sorry your grows are lacking in imagination. but in my experience and this guys...unsupported leaning buds are doing more work than branches that are resting.

Get some protekt. Best silicon product ever. Makes an enormous difference in strength of branches and even a little in quality of bud and plant overall. never ever grow without it. Even the simplest grow should use it.

when your branches do that, they shift their attention to getting stronger so that they can hold the weight.

I would maintain that the above statement is a half truth. The Structure of plant is determined by the GENES with the environment only playing a secondary role! The best example would be Trainwreck the stems are small and no amount of flopping strengthens the stems.
