Is GDP and Grape Ape the same thing? If not..what are the differences?

I find gdp to have more earthy tones and grape ape to be closer to urkle in smell but its been a long time since I came across grape ape or urkle. The grape ape was less skunky than urkle.

So is Grape Ape the way to go if you want grape smell and flavor? Does it actually taste like grapes? I found some urkle recently and it was good but it didn't smell, taste or look like grapes.

idk... but urkle I found to have the most distinct flavor and smell and I like it best. The grape ape was a bit more candyish purple smelling and the gdp was probably the most purple smelling but also earthier.

there is a broad range to the purple smell. from artificial grape to real grapes to plums to violets to lavender to blackberry to boysen berry.

I would add urkle to the list as it is a purple smell but has a distinctness from other purple smells on the list.

urkle has like a blackberry fresh blueberry smell that is not full but captured in a narrow astringent like way reminecent of fresh lavender with a tad more artificial grape that envelops and ties those two scents together in a slightly deeper note that is behind that astringent purple quality.

I've only had grape ape in hash and other forms of concentrate but I have had plenty, and I mean plenty of GDP and purple urkle. Completely different strains. I felt urkle had a higher ceiling and was an all around better strain than GDP. So much GDP comes through my area and I've also ran it twice and I just don't really like it. It's a decent smoke but it's nothing spectacular

I read that Bogglegum has a grape pheno that is like Big League Chew grape flavor and that sounds awesome! BOG posted that his Sour Grape smells like red wine after curing which doesn't sound as nice to me. I got some Urkle recently and it just smelled like dank. Once I had a male that smelled like freshly baked blueberry muffins but have never seen flowers with that smell.

Did any of these grape,blueberry or blackberry smelling flowers actually taste like the smell?

idk either the ape or gdp. The truth is I have come across a lot more gdp than anything but a decade ago all I saw was urkle. The ape I have only seen a handful of times.

The thing is even in the urkle and gdp I seen quite a bit of variation. Whether that be from sister, crosses or s1s or different lines from the same ancestral stock, really I don't know.
