Is FF Ocean Forest too strong 4 seed?

From what people have told me about ferted potting soil is it wont harm the seeds as long as it has a proper drainage and aeration. So if you mixed your potting soil with perlite/vermiculite thean you will be ok. Also bare in mind the ph of your grow mix before you start to grow in it and save yourself some time.
Caprichoso has a good thread on uses and misuses of Pre-Ferted potting soil that you might want to check out http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=10083
Hope this helps :canabis:

Thanks Little. I want to use straight up FF Ocean Forest with NOTHING else added to the soil. Besides water and nutes throughout the grow. I didnt know if the bat guano, earthworm castings, micronutrients etc. that are in Ocean Forest are too strong for a seedling. Anyone?? Thanks

Ive used FF OF for years and never had any probs with it being too hot for seedlings or clones. In fact it works killer. I'd add about 20-30% perlite and thats it. The soil will feed seedlings and clones for about 2 weeks.

The whole FF line rocks.

FF Ocean forest is xcellent. Pricey but xcellent. You can go all the way from seedling to harvest using FF, which, IMHO, is the best around. I've used it from seedling to harvest and then recycled for use again. Cost and distance to purchase caused me to stop using it.
Hope this helps.
Success w/your grow!!
Stay safe.

I've used FF from seed to harvest and not one prob. You can mix or not mix, it drains really well and holds the water well too. Don't add any ferts for the first month or so, there is plenty in the soil. Good luck to you.

same here.

1st rapid rooters
2nd transplanted into FF OF with like ~20% Perlite

no hot spots, signs of burning or anything like that... infact, this is my first grow using FF OF and HOLY SHIT - what a difference compared to the other stuff I used to grow with... At just a little over a week as seedlings, my plants of absolutely LOVED the Fox Farm Ocean Forest/Perlite mix with nothin' but Sparkletts Distilled Drinking water...

should i really start to feed after 2 weeks, though? i've heard so many different feeding times... when to start...

Thanks for all the responses. I was wondering the same thing Fernando. I have heard that FF OF has enough nutrients in it to last a month without having to feed. I have also heard 2 weeks. When do you guys start feeding with Grow Big(or similar product) when using OF? Peace
