Irregular light cycle, random button on new timer.

Hello. I have 3 plants under a 250w hps, they are at week 6 of flower. The usual light schedule is:
Lights on at 00:00
Lights off at 12:00
I changed to a digital timer yesterday and didn't know the random option was selected on it. The random schedule went:
Lights off as usual at 12:00
Then turned on at 18:00
Off at 23:00
On as usual at 00:00
I plan to leave the lights on until 06:00 as I don't want the plants to get think they have had close to 18 hours of light. As it was only a 1 hour dark break inbetween.
I will then leave the lights off for 18 hours until 00:00 and back to the usual light cycle.
Luckily I have a weather station which gave me the times, and it has only happened once.
Is there a better way, or should I stick to my plan, it is now 01:11.

Probably be fine - 1 day of off-schedule lights isn't likely to hurt them this late.
