Nice Red! My green thumb has expanded past our favorite herb as well. I have so many outdoor potted plants and trees, between the front and back, it takes me an hour to service them. Almost enjoy staring at them as much as I do my special indoor plants......almost! Got 30 plus houseplants inside as well. Love cloning plants! I could be anywhere, restaurant or office building, if I see a plant I like, I just break a piece off & see if I can get it to root at home. Most do! Why spend lots of $$?

Peace KBB

nyc, kgb - This is what I do. For plants, you can break off a branch anywhere. I try to use the bottom so that I don't destroy or mess up whoever's plant it is. For flower, I just cut like I would a MJ clone. I always drive with a few small water bottles to drink. I use the bottles to hold the plants till I get home. At home I give them a fresh cut, dip the in rooting powder I got from a Chinese guy at his nursery, and plant in small pot till they root. Some will root indoors in straight water and then I transplant.

I'll post some pics this weekend when I get back home of some of the clones I just did the past weekend.

Give it a go guys! Great way to acquire plants without killing the wallet!

Peace KBB

Plant Clones

Plant Clones

Here are the plant clones I mentioned earlier.

The two big ones are a couple of mo's old. The four little ones were cut broke off a week ago.

Couple of close up of the smaller ones.

These three were cut a month ago.

All are doing well, dropped in straight soil. :D

Sorry, Red, no intentions to hijack yer thread!

Peace :ying:KBB:ying:

Red,
I would have to go to a nursery to learn the names. Most are in the cactus family, judging by the looks. Have a couple of jade plants that clone great as well. Given lots to family members. Only had a couple of woody plant types root. The cactus types are easy, even if they're flowering.

It's fun to see what will root. See somethin ya like, break a piece off & see what happens.

Take care KBB
