I travel to Ireland a fair amount and the UK as well but mainly Ireland. Much as I would like take my own stuff with me I am wayyyyyy to paranoid to take it with me so I am hoping that someone can tell me what the scene is like in Ireland. I can tell you where all the booze is at based on experience but I dont know shit about what the weed is like how plentiful it is in various areas of the country.

Thoughts?

Never been, but would love to scope the area. i'd imagine it have some sweet guerrilla grow spots. It's not like fly overs would be a big deal, every thing would just blend in. Take that police Heli's.

Depends on who you know really mate, you can get hold of shit HG in most places the Irish also love to call poor slate pollen not polm and charge 10 a G also depends on what part you are going to visit! if youre going to Dublin or Cork some where like that you should pick up easy but some of the smaller places are clique.....

The scene is rubbish unless you grow or have a buddy who does, the hash is crap and the average street dealer will try and sell you crap that will not get you stoned dont even bother with them.

No one wants to test themselves on the streets today unless you are totally out of your mind.

my friend, who is in Belfast said that the weed there is crap... he said that you can get big bag for cheap price but the quality is not high. hashish is the same - not high grade. He said that cocaine is very good but this is other story.... I think it would be the best option when you meet homegrower hehe peace

When I was in Northern Ireland..the only thing we could get was hash..and there were times,when we needed to go Dublin to get some.So thats how I started my growing..thanks for that Ireland..

Hello all. Coming from the wet patch of Ireland I can safely say the scene is a bit all over the place. I live in a small town and can score anytime of day or night but the prices are too high and the quality too low. 50 euro for a 3g bag of gritted nonsense. 50 euro if your lucky for a quarter of nasty pissy tasting "pollen" . But its not all bad news, every so often a nice tasty bit of import hash comes in...usually around christmas for some reason. last year was nepalese and this crimbo it was unpressed moroccan blonde. Savage hash. great taste and flavour. might have a wee sly one now... also can score 5g bags of "smell your car out while in a bag in your pocket" weed. Last few strains were K-train, Alaskan ice, cheese and AK47. Not cheap but does the job nicely...100 euro. Hope this on the ground info helps folks....enjoy

Yup - folk have pretty well nailed it on the head. I'm an Irishman myself and it kills me to say it but yeah - the weed scene is laughable in the VAST majority of places. Having said that the Cork area is by far the best however. Plenty of home growers about and they won't rip you off. You'll pay €200 or thereabouts for an ounce of good (not excellent) weed compared with €300 for an ounce of complete shit in Dublin. Athlone can see you score some pretty good weed too if you know where to look but I wouldn't recommend following your nose so to speak. There's quite a lot of junkies about Athlone and they wouldn't be too long about robbing you.

I don't even want to talk about the hash as it's shameful. The best polm you can get is €10 per gram just like Blue said but after a day or two of smoking you get immune to it. As for the soap - if I'd a euro for every huge fucking chunk of plastic I've pulled from my ounces (€100) I'd be 3 or 4 ounces richer. The best hash you can currently get in Ireland (if you're lucky) is putty black soft hash from Afghanistan and this is how you know the scene is rightly fucked up .......... most people denounce the best hash there is as being deisel hash and won't touch it. *shrugs* Beats me. I can tell you without a shadow of doubt it's some real nice hash. Get you so high sometimes you wouldn't believe it. Smelly as fuk and proper resinous. Hard to come by though - hard to come by.

With regards to the cops - those who don't drag you of to court will rob you so watch out for them. If ya get caught with smoke for personal use (can be up to an ounce, maybe more, once it's not in various little bags) you'll only face a fine and not prison but if you're done for possession with intent to supply you'll be looking at 2yrs minimum behind bars if found guilty.

If you're flying in to Dublin I wouldn't worry too much about bringing some with me - once you can get through your departure airport ok you'll be fine - unless you're really unlucky. I used to fly to Eindhoeven regularly and cart back as much kickass weed as I could (as much as I had left ). Made 14 trips and never once got stopped on the way back into Ireland. Lazy bastards on the Irish side - I've rarely even seen a fukn customs person on the way through never mind searching anyone. That said though you could be really unlucky

good tactic is to hang around at growshops and chat up customers for some weed.
make sure to ask the clerk first if its cool and chat with him too, most wont mind IMO or just tell you to ask the guys outside the store.

Ah just take it with you, preferably to one of the provincial airports. I don't normally advocate this as smuggling dope seems like a lot of risk without much point (and, yes, I've also done a fair bit of smuggling small amounts in the distant past) but having recently flown into Knock airport... customs a joke. Regretted not carrying myself. Stick an 8th in your pants!
