ionizer tower fans ?

i am thinking to buy a tower fan to increase air circulation in the tent . however ,i have already experienced high RH problems. i read in some where they blow cold steam .
i wonder ionizer tower fans may cause higher humidity ?

ANd do they work well ?

i have 3 oscillation fans top of the canopy. but it is very hot outside and i think they may help to decrease the temp. i will put it corner of my tent if i buy one.

You really need to worry about humidity first. Ionizers, ozone gens, and even carbon filters work very poorly in high humidity... Get a portable ac w/dehumidifier.

Ionizers only work at reducing odor because of the ozone that they produce as a byproduct of ion production. Ozone in your growing area will negatively affect the growth of your plants. Ozone in your living area can give you respiratory problems. The only good use of one would be as a supplementary odor control device in an isolated area.

have air purifier/ionizer in garden. type w/ duracraft electrostatic filter+ionizer. in/out covered by honeywell carbon replacement filter sheet.

no ill effects observed.
observe no 'cold steam' blowing from machine.
does not cause higher humidity.

are moderately effective.
acquire honeywell carbon sheets to cover in/out grilles.
mix this in to fan system http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=123854, if applicable/desired.

air circulation alone does not decrease temp, if area is sealed. no outlet for air to escape; just re-circulates.

to decrease temp, if desired, use wall ac. these may also decrease rh.
cheap rv dehumidification products like damp rid do actually work, and a rig can be built to only change it after 2-5 gallons.

generally, higher temps+higher humidity not bad in themselves; as long as in plants' comfort zone and kept constant.

hope this helps.

I used to have one, just around the house, not for a grow --- Mine sucked even around the house and I doubt it would be good for grow - carbon is the only thing that ever worked for me.

I did build an "ONA bucket" once that I saw on the forums, but use that because I am a smoker (tobacco), and it does a kick ass job of making my place not stink from it....
