If you came across a name brand, it's a ripoff. Name brands don't fall into people's lap without marketing campaigns.

its ionic nutrient range by growth technology
the stuff is readily available in a lot of websites and growshops so i dont think its a rip off
i'm just wondering what it performs like

Good stuff. Fully chelated. H&V acids already in there. Just one bottle. It's been my primary choice for many years. I have tried others when it was out of stock, but always come back. I have done the hydro, the coco and the soil. It's all first class. Oddly a friends shop stopped selling it due to the supply chain he uses. Now I travel to buy from another shop who sell little else. My friend sells at least a dozen brands, but non are good enough.

For me in the UK it has always been about growth technologies or canna. Like there are levi and wrangler. Yes there are true religion, g-star and diesel, but it's always been levi and wrangler. You are not going wrong with either. Legendary stuff. Most of my friends joined the canna camp, but ionic is on it. There problem is a lack of marketing, in a world led by new buzz words. There range is thin, but all products of value. They don't have any hype for sale.

Honestly, there is no need to hesitate.

To add to the scales your weighing like f-e I too used Ionic for years and found it to be very good stuff that never gave me any problems. I only used it in soil though and I used the Ionic Grow in veg and the Bloom and Boost in Flower. Also like f-e the only time I tried other things was when I had difficulty getting Ionic either because of lack of availability or on a couple of occasions an inability for me to afford it. Good stuff and I would definitely recommend it. When using Ionic I found no real need for any other additives

I used the old lineup of nutes from them a lot of time ago.. and they were good, but quite expensive at that time. Now I see they simplified the lineup, anyway if you go that way I will be following close. I am looking for a simple to use nutrient line that does the job for my future grows as well.

It's low in calcium, which is the metabolism engine for the plant. If you add cal-mag, there are better multi-part fertilizer lineups available.

Like Hempkat, I found the grow and bloom was all I really needed. At times I have bloomed using the grow, with the addition of 10% PK by volume (100G+10mlPK) as that's basically Bloom with extra N.
One supplier would fetch me some grow before I had got through the door. I could see he really wanted to ask why I never bought bloom. Must of thought I was doing a lot of cuttings :)

As a new user, I suggest you run the feed to evaluate any need for PK on later runs.

It is cheap, but beware, it's not very strong. Have some calmag on hand if under LEDs as a 7ml dose of ionic might give around 50ppm of calcium.

I've got plenty of canna cal mag available
They'll be under a ts1000 epsom salts will be given anyway
So my thinking is grow bloom and pk booster is all I'll need
Which is nearly half the cost of bio bizz

If I remember well, the Ionic Boost was one of the most important parts of the old lineup. So maybe look into getying that if still available. Also, incredible to find out biobizz is now more expensive than ionic. Amazing, as it was the cheapest of all when it first came out. It just shows how if you put enaugh money into marketing, you can really make people pay a fortune for crap.
Honestly, if biobizz worked for you and you want a fair comparison you should first use it in bigger pots, then use a new line in same conditions. That way you comparison will be much fair. Changing 2 things at a time will make you question what helped or not.. at the end.

I’ve used them long time ago …Specifically asked the grow store at a time for what is your best one part and this is what he suggested… I linked the page from an old thread of mine please read it if you care to;)

I never had any issues with calcium nor did I ever use cal-mag. What I did use and will always use when using soil, is dolomite lime, not only is dolomite lime a fair source for calcium and magnesium but it also helps the soil to buffer the ph in the range you want for soil. If I remember correctly I added dolomite lime at a rate of 2-3 tablespoons per gallon of soil. I would add it in the beginning when I would first mix the soil also with extra perlite and vermiculite to help improve drainage.
