Ionic Breeze for smell?

Since I already have an ionic breeze im hoping i can just use this for odor, it has a negative ion setting and my model also has the uv light to kill bacteria, id keep the uv light off if i had it in the grow room but has anyone ever used one of these to control odor before?

I read a Consumer Reports review of the Ionic Breeze and they said it basically is useless. I saw the charts of the tests and would have to agree.

hmm, well that stinks. pun intended

it does a great job keeping my room less locker-roomy, i can definatly notice a change when its been off for 3 days but wasnt sure if it would be able to nuetralize teh good stuff

Maybe they've improved the units but my guess is it would not work well to control grow room odors.

Dont keep it in the grow room cause it'll do little good there,keep in living room it will help but you still need something I have one and it wont work good for that.Pretty good for dog/cigarette smells things like that though

it helps but my friends @ sharper image (corporate) have said themsselves their useless, they do tend to make the room a lil bit fresher, but after realizing how much it costs to make em and how much they sell em for the turnover is ridiculous. good warranty though, i just wouldnt trust it/rely on it for odor control, and some of those things have uv lights/lights in them so if theyre in the room you may get some light contamination, hth

and yes even consumer reports says theyre garbage and they are pretty unbiased, i have had the oreck unit because when I smoke in my room I dont like it to looked all smoky, it fixed the problem and helped w/ smell a bit but now that I have my closet setup I can open up my door and enjoy a nice fat joint watching my ladies and letting the 6" exhaust do what it does instead, yayuh
