Ok, so lets say approximately seven days because I am not sure of the exact timeline..
My cloning routine is really pretty simple. 3-6" long cuttings dipped in clonex, than placed in a bucket cloner that contains tap water at pH 5.5-5.9, with 2 capfuls of KLN per gallon of water.
This typically allowed me to see roots starting to form in about 2-3 weeks
On average my success rate was 70%-90%, though every once in awhile Id get 0% (happened twice in 6 years of using this system).
This last time I did something different. Since I had my cloner tore apart for cleaning when I took cuttings, I placed this cuttings in a glass of water for 2 days or so until I could get the cloner put back together.
After two days in water I dipped them in cloning gel, than put them in the bucket as described above. Within two days I had calcification on all of the cuttings. Within 7 days I had roots on almost all of the cuttings. Within 10 days they were ready for soil....
Also, these cuttings were from a plant that was already 1 to 2 weeks into flowering, so if anything it should have taken even longer for roots to appear.
Thoughts ? Just a random occurrence or did sitting in water for a couple of days help?
