intake filters as a way to lightproof tents?

I'm in the process of putting up a wall in my garage that will give me a grow room of sorts. Currently I have a DR90II with a 600 for flowering but I need to keep the vent flaps wide open to keep temps down even with a 424cfm vortex pulling through a phresh 6"x16".

I want to keep my mom and Clone tent in the same room and am trying to find better ways of keeping the light from the veg tent from disrupting the flower tent.

I came across a phresh intake filter,it doesn't say it in the description but in a tent review on greners one of the reps says that installing a phresh intake filter will solve light leak problems from the intake ports.

Anyone have any experience with this? I've done the putting multiple bends in intake ducts thing and while it works, those ducts take up valuable space. They claim the intake filters allow 90% of airflow through.

Anyone have any idea if they work? I'll probably only be running a DR60 with a 250w mh for my mom and Clone tent, I'm wondering if these might be the ticket so I can leave my flowering tent a bit more open for better airflow?? They are kinda pricey, but might be worth it if it truly does block the light and still allow 90% airflow through.

The room itself will be dark and lightproof .

I've got a DR100 tent which is 39" x 39". What I do to keep it light tight is this. I have two short runs of 4" ducting. Each one is almost two feet long when stretched out. I put those in the bottom circular air intake holes of the tent. Each side of the ducting is only an inch or so from the ground. It acts as a light trap and helps get fresh air into the tent. On the side of the ducting run that is outside the tent I use paper towel and a rubber band as a simple air filter.

I also use bungee cords connected to the vertical support poles in the tent. This keeps the tent from getting sucked in and taking away space for the plants.

And this ^ right here, is why I read read read so many threads.

Thank you very much for that idea, if I could provide rep at this point I would

If you're asking if light will pass thru a carbon filter and centrifugal fan, the answer is no. It will be totally light proof. Good luck. -granger
