Input Please : Emergency Situation - Moving outdoors plants indoors for a few weeks in August at 38.5 Latitude

Have roughly a dozen robust 4ft plants in veg. Have some disruptive things (workers) going on outdoors for a few weeks. Need to bring them indoors.
No indoor grow lights but a very decent size indoor area with many windows, good air and good ventilation present.

Then we plan on moving them back outdoors towards end of august. What do you think will happen?

Maybe this will be good due to the excessive high temps in august @ 38.5816° N, 121.4944° W but bad because less intense light spectrum.

Anyone have any words of wisdom?

Plants are healthy with very limited bugs and pest.

Even with all those windows it's still a lot less light. This will impact your yield negatively. Otherwise they'll be ok.

Probably a good idea to acclimatize the plants to the new environment, both on the way in and out. That is first have them for only part of the day in the new place.

When are they meant to finish? If it's early September, then they will spend most of their important weeks indoors. There is also the work completion date. The online calculator says late August is a week before Santa arrives.

You should go about this like they are not going back out. Get a tent and lights and filter, it that's what you need.

Keep in mind your plants will see indoors as a shorter day, unless you add lights. Which might not be possible with exposed windows.

Thanks Going Grey... One the positive side - August temperature range outdoors in this area are 95F to 105F. Over the years I've noticed that with less yield (due to some shade) the potency is better.
I'll be happy to give up some yield - just to make it through this season. We'll spray them one last time with Neem & Take Down from Monterey.

They finish typically in this area mid OCT. Sacramento, California USA Region.

They will be going back outside in a few weeks - when workers gone.. The weather in these parts is still somewhat summer like through September and into Oct. Last few years little to no rain til Nov and Dec.
The more I think about it - the more I'm seeing some of the benefits of keeping them out of the hot August heat. They are pretty hardy and healthy - maybe slow growth and less yield will be the only true down side(?).. Outdoor Plants don't start flowering here (always have some exceptions) naturally until first week or so into August. Sept is when Flowering really takes off.

I feel a little more settled, than if it were where I am.

They will perhaps do things a couple of weeks earlier. I see 3 weeks between exposed locations, and small clearings.

They are very light sensitive when it comes to night break lighting, but working with them you see them wake up at light levels somewhat higher. It's no surprise the ones in morning shade wake later.
I'm sure this will translate to real hours indoors.

Missing the first couple of weeks flower indoors, seems like it would do nothing. A few times I went away leaving them on florescent and LPS lighting to wake but not drink so much. My logic was that they only grow a few hairs anyway. Truth is, 2 weeks out of 8, was easily 25%. Truth is, I wasn't consistant enough back then to really say, but it seemed like a disaster.

Lights don't cost much. Think how much bud it might be worth to you, and have a look under the mattress. A few used 6s... well I have given enough away to call them worthless.

You'll get a lot of leaf drop indoors. . Let's use this as an experiment for ICmag growers. Keep us posted with upcoming photos. Move them in and let's see what happens. 😎
