It's always nice to see a different selection to choose from. It's especially nice to see breeders listing the genetic background of their plants. In the early days, most plants were crosses of the same basic building plants, and so the pheno type was regarded as the most crucial detail as far as parentage was concerned. Now most plants are stabilized, and buyers know what skunk#1 or Afghani is details such as the most indica specimen of this plant or that is becoming more relevant. And with so many crosses out there these days, its nice when buying new genes, to know your existing genes are based on afghan or thai or whatever and to buy something new. Pics are always a big help in selecting a plant, so it's nice to have a gallery of real grows rather than 1 passport photo of the best ever example. Well they are my views on that thread, best of luck with everything,

First, welcome back!

It's nice to know the genetic background on the plants - that helps me a lot when I'm choosing strains. I have a couple of favorites and tend to lean toward varieties that have my favorites as part of their genetic makeup. I usually refer to the OG strain guide to see what might be expected from a new cross by looking at the parent strains (and I can't wait until the IC strain guide is up).

At the least, I need to know the plant size (i.e., indica, sativa, or combination), recommended for indoor or outdoor, type of buzz, flowering time, how much odor the plant produces while growing, flavor/smell of finished bud, strength (or percentage of THC).

It is nice to know whether the plant branches a lot or makes a single cola, how much it stretches during flowering, recommended veg time, recommended growing method (some plants do better in hydro), etc.

I like to see pictures of the plants and buds, too; I agree with GMT that I like to see grow galleries instead of just a gorgeous pic of a single bud (test grows are great; need a volunteer?)

I guess that I'm saying the more information I can get on a strain, the better I'll be able to decide if I want to put it in my library of genetics and if it will fit it in my garden. Like most people, my garden is not real large, so I can't grow a large variety at once, so I need to pick intelligently.

Welcome to the Breeders forum DNA.

I will be growing your LA Confidential. Thanks to Gypsy for the seeds.I should get the seeds in a week or two.I will germ them as soon as they arrive. From that point until I flower will be about a month.I read the other thread(very nice strain lineage) and it looks like another 2 months to finish. So,if all goes well I should have pics of finished plants in a little over 90 days.

i have been waiting for a long time for that thread explaining the pedigree of la con....now that you have explained all the backcrossing and flavor-selections that went into the process, i want to buy a pak even more than when they first won awards.....i have been looking at your kool website for months and months just waiting for more information....and i was patient.....but maybe i should have just had the balls like REZ who just straight-up asked for the information......i don't know how these crazy cannabis companies go about their breeding business but i assume that pedigrees are hidden just to drum up a little publicity- or, like you said, just for a lark to see the community's reactions......but all that time you were working on LA CON versions two, three and four! so i hope you post breeding information in your website because there are lots of people around the world who would be interested in learning about your varieties.....and besides, it gives you an opportunity to show us all the hard work you are doing, and that is just going to drum up more and more business....

one last thing (sorry this is so long).....with all the hassles and hurdles that DNA might be going through, i hope that you preserve those important cannabis genetics.....y'all were the first company (to my knowledge) that offered a "chocolate thai" strain or at least a strain with a chocolatey flavor and i hope the genetics of this flavor have been preserved.....i think the last pak sold for 300$ (supply and demand) and that is okay with me as long as you continue to preserve important genetics.....i wish that more breeders would work with chocolate flavors......oh well......thanks and best wishes....

hey guinne,
well the reason this paticular info wasent available about the LA is because it seemed kool to have a mystery, a secert if you will. I meen evan the packaging says Breeding: confidential...
it was for no reason then being a special strain and our FAVORITE one at that!!!!
there was no real secert if you hang with us you know, it just wasent advertised..
well now it will be...
As far as the web site??? were gonna get it up soon... stoner time...
As far as why info on other strains was not out? was due to security issues we werent talking to anybody!! let alone explain in detail the activity we were doing.
things are ok now and we will hide by only one thing... the TRUTH...
pease
and get those seeds poppin
