Input needed and much appreciated (1st timer)

Hey everyone,

Im a first time gardener with zero hands on skills (hoping to develop!). I have a small medicine cab that i want to convert for a stealth medicinal closet grow. My dimensions are 20.5 L 14 W and 12 deep.

If i take out the topmost drawer i will have a total of 26 in in length. I was planning a scrog with 2 or 3 clones. Also, i will have two 120 mm comp fans to provide intake and exhaust, one at the top by the lights and the other more at plant level. Im going to read up on how to light proof and do something about the glass insert on the door.

As far as lights i was going to go with CFL's maybe 6 42 watters but i was really hoping on a t5 set up or something with L lights.

I just would like to get some input on my plans and specifically about lighting which i am finding frustrating and whether or not i should take out the topmost drawer to add space.

Hi,
I was unable to access the pictures for some reason.
By all means, take out the drawer. You are going to need all the height you can get--If I read you right, it's 12 by 14 inches, and about 26 inches tall.
That's only one square foot, so you won't want more than about 75 watts in there. Only add more if it doesn't overheat.
By the way, many CFLs are technically T5, since T5 is just the size of the tube. CFLs now come in different colors, so make sure you get ones with enough red for flowering.

I was calculating sq ft wrong and thought i had 2 sq ft...i multiplied 26 and 13 and then divided by 144 but the number should have been 15 instead of 26 lol


Im starting to think i should abort this grow box design and go for something bigger...
