Inkbird controllers

See a variety at Amazon. Good reviews. Bad reviews. The few bad reviews are very discouraging. I wanna get a controller to keep my humidity constant.

Do I need separate controls for my humidifier and dehumidifier?

Can experienced people vouch for this company? Can somebody steer me in a positive direction? You guys are great! Take care!

Their hygrometers are very good, but haven't bought anything else from them yet

So its a cheap super chinese option that works 99% of the time. I have witnessed the relay get stuck on on two occasions. But they work pretty well.

It has control over both the humidifier and dehumidifier. You just set your desired rh and how much you want it to swing either way before it activates either device.

Pay close attention to how good of an average where you place your sensor gives you..

They have the dual stage, with a plug for your humidifier, and one for the dehumidifier. Automatically switches between the 2. 4/5 star review, seems legit.. I can't vouch for the specific product though because I don't own one. Inkbird makes pretty reliable gadgets.

I do have this one but its only single stage. https://www.amazon.com/WILLHI-Humid...07GK6TY3DSD&psc=1&refRID=H53NAJV2407GK6TY3DSD

I think I might pickup a IHC-200, so I can simulate cloudy days with random humidity burst in my veg chamber... Or for my curing chamber. $40 is cheap for the purpose it serves!

That 1% though..

Well i guess tbh if i was being fairer and i worked it out by the number of times it was switched on by a timer we are maybe at this point talking <0.01% and getting better every day. Also the unit has worked flawlessly since this happened twice in one week even though i still watch it like a hawk.

It got stuck twice on the humidification setting on luckily when plants have been seedling/vegging so no harm.. if it was lke that at 90-100% humidity for a day or so idk about electronics and the plants start to get a bit pissed off.

Once im in flower it only brings on the dehumidifier so no chance of the humidifier relay getting stuck open, i think this is why it hasnt been a problem.

I have a couple more professional climate controllers hooked into the co2 but i like to have more sensors around just watching the microclimates around the room and bringing on dehueys when needed. Just the way ive had to do it atm.

I will buy more in the future even though like i say i have opened my tent to reveal Yoda's hermit swamp a couple times because they are too useful and the sensors match up with more expensive ones well for accuracy.

It gets a thumbs up from me, i just wanted to mention that so you dont just 100% assume its infallible. Could be that unit i have is the tiny percentage that can be temperamental. Its only one in 3 humidity controllers and the temp controllers have all been solid.

Thank you all for your time

I use a dual that switching dehuey and huey and it works fine.

Single in a tent controls an exhaust fan for drying.

Temp controllers of fans, etc all work great for me.

I use an Inkbird temperature controller to protect from thermal runaway.

The controller tries to "heat the tent" with the lights to a target which is unacceptable. If the temperature near my lights exceeds 87 F the lights shut off. My AC went down once so I added this controller and it saved me the next few times it went off. Now I don't run without it.

The humidity controller also rocks for atmospheric conditioning during grow and fan control during dry / cure, as others have said.

And, pay attention to probe placement, as others have said; I place mine after the fan that mixes the fog with the intake air.

You are all wonderful with your input. Wow the instructions book is so dense. I'm reading and preparing a dry run. Got a constant 50% reading. Geo to prepare for seasonal transition

Day 2 plugged in. Doing what it should be doing with my dehumidifier. It beeps. Alarming at first ear shot, but it grows on you. It is not as loud in my settings as the dehumidifier it activates. Stealth hobbiests beware.. additional noisemaker. Soothing atmosphere measurement device to have plugged in so far
