Not doubt you, but, logically, why?

Have you tried asking in Blaze's thread? He's pretty good about helping folks out.

The mixture needs to sit because the bone/blood meal needs to be broken down into a form that the plants can use. You keep it moist and turn it to help speed along this process. The heat is the reaction taking place. The term, hot, can also be in reference to having too much fert for the plant to handle. Young plants can only handle so much.

Blaze's soil thread is not old, he's just about to harvest it with the second round ready to go in. So you should be able to ask there, no problems.

So... if your adding young plants to the mix, wouldn't it be unwise to let it "cook" because you would burn them? Blaze didn't let his "cook" and from what I can see there isn't any burn/def on any of his plants. I believe the Miracle grow soil has readily available nutrients and the blood and bone meal are for later.
