Also I hear they will be coming out with a 500W induction fixture I cant wait to see how that out performs and 1000W HPS! In mean time check out this vid of GLS's 400W vs. 1000W Hortilux HPS

Wow, wonder what the price is on them. If they vegged that plant with Hortilux hps I can see why it may stretch. Thrips? The Barnum effect in action? Says to call on their site.

biosonictech, monstergardens and inda-gro also have them. I've seen $400-500 for a 400 watt bare bulb for Fulham High Horse 400W Induction Lighting System, Tubular Type Lamp and Electronic Ballast (Google search).

Inda-GRO Pro Series 400 Watt Induction Grow Light, $680 for 400 watts:

400 Watts - Covers 6’x6’ Areas
Universal Driver 120-277v 50/60hz
88,460 VEL
Bi-Spectrum Lamp Vegetative through Flowering stages
95% Par Usable UV and IR Spectrums
Maintains 90% Lumen Output at 70,000 Hours
Daylight Spectrum
100,000 Rated Life (Hours)

Have to say I'm impressed! Wonder how it pans out...

Something that ACTUALLY competes with vertical bare bulb donut setups - yeah I'm checking this out! 70,000 hours equates to over 12 years operation averaging a 12-18 hour grow cycle. 16 years if just used for 12 hour flower.

Excellent article on PAR light and what plants really use - http://www.inda-gro.com/pdf/aquarium-lighting.pdf

Edit: I'm sticking w/T5 and HID for now. Lotta hype and real growers who've used them some like them but they're not the next coming... Heard you can use bare bulb as well with them too.

ItalMedi I'm curious as to how big the plants were that you harvested? It sounds great but what about penetration? After all its still a flo lamp.If you can flower 4 foot plants effec tively that would be great

If these things can actually produce similar results as HID their lamp maintenance costs give them a huge advantage.

The proof is still in the pudding and I havnt seen huge fat colas yet in any of the instances I've read when they've been brought to public forum.
