Induction dabbing

For those of you who might be interested here's a little toy I'm building. It's a cordless rechargeable induction heater. My thought was to apply the dab to the nail then heat the nail through the glass chimney. I'm building this one as a surprise for a friend of mine but so many people seem interested I might start building them to sell. Let me know what you think. Thanks! (and bonus points for identifying the music in the background!)

Niffty coil...anything that eliminates the torch is a plus in my book. I'm intrigued...cordless too. How long to charge and how long does the charge last? You have a price point that includes a profit for your efforts that you can share?

An hour to charge and ~ 90-150 dabs per charge depending on the size and material of the nail being hit. I'm using an 18.5V 5500mAh LiPO pack for power. My parts cost including a balance charger for the battery runs about $200. I could bring that down by a third if I was buying the batteries and chargers (by far the most expensive parts of this puzzle) in quantity. If I was making these in small quantities on my workbench I'd probably need to ask at least $300 to make it worth my while. To me that would seem like an awful lot of $$ for a fancy lighter but there might be a small market.

It also makes a handy tool for loosening stuck bolts. Google bolt buster or mini-ductor. This can deliver similar amounts of power when used on something larger than a nail or pan, but not for long per charge!

why did you decide to go with induction rather than just a nichrome wire heater, which can be easily temperature controlled?

also, am i wrong to think that induction is not as efficient as a direct heater? i.e. fewer dabs per battery charge.

Why induction? This project started out a a gift for a friend. I wanted it to be something different and cool. No it's not as efficient as as a direct heater but it's pretty F'n cool.

And temp' control, my original thought was that the nail could be loaded while its cold then heated with the glass chimney in place. With a little practice it's pretty easy to control the heating but no, it's not something you can set to a precise temperature.

Thanks for the feedback!
