We were growing upstairs in an old house in a 10x10 grow tent. Setup
2x600w hps
1x600w led
1x1000w led
1 big exhaust fan attached to filter and had it blowing downstairs. It felt very stupid. We have 1window in each room upstairs we could use but could not keep open 24/7 since its cold in winter. Friend want to grow again but with same setup it will be trash. Should we exhaust the hot air out through window or invest in air heat pump?

Yes, you seal the exit and only force the old air out. Even in Winter, don't worry about cold air being a problem because it's not. When you force the old air out it keeps the grow area fresh. Temps are not a problem with the amount of watts your will be using.
