Indoor Guidance please

Hey everyone, long time reader, first time asker.
Ive gone through everything a few times and i cant seem to find a question which is kinda close to mine.

Long story, been saving a few dollars every week for over a year now.
managed to save up 2.1k (ill use US dollars)

My big dreams when i first started thinking about doing this was pulling in 3-4 pound a harvest every 3-4 months and i was gonna be rich. I realize now that i was a real idiot to think that. Im gonna be extremely happy if i get a pound, but the more educated i get about this the more the weight comes down.

Basically when im ready (got about half my equipment in the closet) ill be using a 1.4 x 1.4 x 2 grow tent. which is basically 57" x 57" x 78"

growing in soil, going to try a scrog.

ive already brought a G8Led 450 (280 watt real power) with 2 Red bloom UFO's (72 watt real power each) thinking im gonna be winning by paying less power and G8led say this light equals a 800 watt HPS, after a few months i thought about it and realized there is no way in hell a 280 watt light is going to be equal to a 800 watt light. Now im thinking i may not have enough flower power.

G8led supposedly does a intense area of 3x4 foot, but the reason why ive opted to get a slightly larger tent is i may want to get bigger lights.

Because ive had the lights for about 8 months and have only tested them when i got them to ensure they were working i have no idea how well they will produce.

now im thinking of using 2 lights in there, the above and another

Ive been looking at HPS lights because i have no idea if i should get another led, im thinking 600w should do the trick. but i want to keep my watts at a max of 1100 p/h for everything. (lights, fans, extractor ....etc)
i thought cool, ill just get a digital hps ballast and i should be sweet.
had a look online and it says the digitals give off a interference so i thought hmm, okay ill save money outright and get a magnetic, then i saw that the average draw of a 600 watt is about 750 watts due to the ballast pull

after all the confusion ive caused, what im asking is

Digital ballasts, do they actual cause interference

NANOLUX DIGITAL 600 WATT H.P.S this is the ballast
http://www.easygrow.co.nz/lighting-kitsets/788-nanolux-digital-600w-hps-premium-shade.html

What is the actual power draw for a magentic Ballast?
J.B LIGHTING 600 WATT H.P.S
http://www.easygrow.co.nz/lighting-kitsets/84-600-watt-hps-kitset-premium-shade-upgrade.html

should i down grade my plans from a 600 to a 400 or even 250
should i get another over priced, unproven LED (unproven to me anyway)

any help would be greatly appreciated

"Digital ballasts, do they actual cause interference "

ive never had this problem but thats just me
are you planning on storing sensitive electronics near your grow?
(im sure there are ways of shielding the balast, but like i said this has never been a problem for me)

you could totally start a small grow with the gear you ahev on hand
we will talk about pulling weigh later

the one thing wondering about is atmosphere!
what are you thinking as far as temp control/air exchange goes?

no, no sensitve electronics any where near, im just worried about the neighbours electronics.
ive got two spots where i am gonna grow, spare room in the winter, garage in the summer
I did think why dont i just start a one plant grow while im researching and pulling everything together.

for temp/air control ive got a dehumidifier to put in the tent,
a Aquarium Reptile Timer Digital Temp Controller Heat Thermostat attached to a oil heater

a 530 cbm3 inline 6" fan (312cfm) with a controller
a 595 cbm3 6" filter (350cfm)
a 6" clip on fan
doing a passive intake with the 2 bottom vents of the tent.
(i havent brought the filter and fan yet, im a bit weary on getting them delivered, picking them up next time i visit family up that way)

tent is only 3.9 cbm (137cfm)
so even with all the ducts and filter i could in theory still pump it out 2x a minute,
but i only plan on clearing the air once every 2.5-3 mins (trying to skimp on as much power as possible, i dont know what the deal is with power companys) of course that would change when summer hits (3 months away)

right now i would welcome the xtra heat a 600 w brings, its getting down to 7degrees at night here, so thats about 44 farenheit

I agree with prlpo rocks.
Start small. I kinda did with numbers, but had the big tent, light.....etc.
No worries having those quarter pound dreams. We all do.
What strain? Not all dank is a big producer too.

Its problematic here in my country, we dont really go by names/brands here on a whole.
the most common response to what strain it is
"Dont know, its skunk"
but in saying that, im not really connected to people in the know of anything useful.
was looking online at a few seedbanks, but darn, seeds are exspensive.

these temps sound good because its easy to create heat wiht HID lamps
im thinking more about in the middle of summer when the temps climb much higher
its hard to cool your garden below ambient air temps unless oyu invest some tiem and money in other means
does your pad hvae AC

im curious
does the smoke you get have lots of seed? names arent that important at this point
you could just grow out a lot of seeds and choose the best ones
some of teh best stuff ever was grown form unknown bag seed
/read up on teh chem dog, diesel strains
(where i live we would jsut call it kush , but the home grown product will usually be far better than the original smoke)

that said, good genetics arent cheap but they are totally worth it
from one good seed pack you could grow unlimited amounts
i wouldent worry about that now
first lets get you up and growing and once you get your set up dialed in you can start to think of what better genetics can do for you

Im gonna go quiet for a week or two, until i get all my goodies,
but i learnt how to get the actual pull of any electronic device

Watts = Amps x Volts
so my 600w digital ballast will pull somewhere between 632 - 642
