Yes it’s mammoth P causing the early finish. I've never used mammoth p before but I'm wondering if it's that thats speeding up the flowering proccess.

It's not that hard, really.
I used cotton wool soaked in rooting hormones, wrapped around a node with leaves cut off, held in place with some regular tape.
A week or two later, roots, can cut and plant.
Air layering is nice and efficient, because while the roots are forming, the branch is still growing!
Oh, yes, I forgot to say, scrape away a little of the outer layer.My air layering was a failure. I opened and inspected it yesterday, there was no sign of roots or callousing, probably for two reasons. The branch I selected was woody, and I failed to scratch away some of the outer layer. Next time I'll try your method.
I took 6 fresh cuttings, dipped them in rooting powder and put them in a propagator. I only need one to take.
