Increasing carbon dioxide effectiveness

So it is common practice to raise the ppm of carbon dioxide in a garden to increase photosynthesis. But as this process depends on gases, not a solution, the partial pressure determines the rate, not concentration. Now they are correlated, but is in possible to lower the partial pressure of say oxygen to further push this reaction forward?

Since the plant uses oxygen at night ... you might just be putting it back later in the cycle.

One possibility is to remove nitrogen. Not sure how you would do that.

One way to reduce the partial pressure of oxygen is, combustion, for example simply burning a candle. ( I almost burned down a 12 unit condo complex doing this, so, careful ! )

Of course, that's a process that also produces CO2, and it sounds like you're trying a different path.

I supplement, but I don't measure CO2 ppm. I think the Cannabis plant responds to "vigorous Breathing" (perhaps sort of like the forced breathing in some yoga practices).

Anyway, for me that means lots of plant ventilation TLC. :tiphat: E.g. sometimes using a big oscillating fan outdoors, if there's no wind.

Increase heat, humidity and feed.

You're looking for spurr's thread on CO2 supplementation.
