increase hours in flower period

What do yall think about start flowering with 9light/15dark and slowly increase hours but very slow so you dont make the plant reveg until you get to 12/12.I am asking this because i think if its flowers faster will be noted on final weight .What you think about this?Also do you thinks will work with sativas if increase the hours very slow ?

that is opposite of natural flowering light periods.

going into flower the day length should be shortening not lengthening.

when you re-veg you will be restarting flowering not continuing...

fussing with hormone/auxuin levels by instigating flowering and then reverting to veggingand again back to flower, may cause some hemaphroditic qualities to manifest, nevermind the time it will take to revert to flowering. you will stress your plant unneccessarily resulting in poor/reduced product.

What trichrider says could manifest w that scheduling and your yield will suffer even if all goes well.

Trout mentions 13 on 11 off...
For yield, that is probably ideal.
However, studies have shown that that extra hour of light on time does not yield enough to pay for that extra hour. That same study also concluded that using an 11 on 13 off schedule affected yields such that there was a significant decrease in yield when compared to 12/12 scheduling.

I don't have a link but the study is publicly available. If I recall correctly, it was done by or sponsored by GW Pharma...

Thats what i think to especialy about 100%sativas but so many tell me 12/12 is the only way i dont know what to do ,i live in a country where is wery dangerous to grow weed and i want to trick a litle bit the normal schedule so i cant get busted but i dont want to lose quality.....

well i did with my last grow (pure Sativa) 12/12 six weeks than 11/13 six weeks and the rest to finish 10.30/13.30... it worked well no issues and big big buds... some sativa finish faster with 11/13 but i only did it now one time so nothing to compare... some in the ACE forum said the same about 11/13... if you search for you will find the treads...

Sativa doesnt like the days lengthening , they react quickly to it and will reveg ,
hybrids will tolerate it .. generally up to 13 hr days ..
9 hours is too little though , none will like that very much ...

They actually finish faster that way. If you do the math, in an 8 week period, you get an extra week of darkness. That's compared to flowering at 12/12.
