In-Wall Digital Timer that keeps the programmed state after power outage

Hi,

I have an in wall digital timer controlling my light. It works great except for when there is a power outage, it will not flip back to the current programmed ON/OFF state.

Example would be my light turns on at 10 AM and off at 4 AM. At 11 AM the power goes out. The timer WAS in ON position before the outage but when power is restored, the timer will stay in the OFF position until the next light cycle. This means it would stay OFF until 10 AM again, thus leaving my plants in the dark for 23 hours based on my hypothetical situation. I am looking for a digital timer that will not exhibit this behavior.

What is your experience with your digital timer? Do you experience the same behavior? If not, what timer are you using?

Thanks!

Mines made by apollo and it has a battery that it charges for when the power goes out.
I had a surge and the inside literally exploded though...I hear broken parts...not its fault though.

Mine has a battery backup too. It saves the time and date along with the programmed settings in the event of power failure. The problem is its not flipping the current programmed state, ON or OFF. It defaults to OFF no matter what the programming says until the time cycles around again.

I have a band aid fix where I just make a bunch of "ON" settings every couple hours with the same "OFF" setting, so in case of power failure, at most it will be 2 hours before the light goes back on again. However, I dislike band-aids and would prefer something more reliable.
