In search of Humbolt Red Hair

Anyone have any Idea what this strain is It has dark green buds with red hairs and a very unique taste I ran into it around 1997 best stuff I've every smoked and never tasted anything like it since and I've smoked alot of high grade weed but nothing ever had the taste this stuff had all I know is it was grown in humbolt it went for 400 a zip but was worth every penny stright up dank Any ideas ? oh yeah it had nice solid buds probly a indica or cross

sounds like possibly a strain i use to get from a friend that grew back around 1995 called red puss he told me recently it was some sort of skunk my guess would be a special pheno of skunk red hair but im not sure & neither is he.

Yeah I've heard of skunk red hair but I was not sure if that was it. It did have nice skunk smell but It was the taste on the exhale that was out of this world I got a few beans out of it but gave them to my dad and he lost them or threw them away and did not know how to grow at the time funny how the best stuff allways slips through your hands K+

hey thanks man I've been eyeing that nirvana skunk red hair but I dont know if its the real I'll have to buy 4 packs and look for that pheno .

just want to point out that im not sure if it was skunk red hair i just know that red puss was some kind of skunk in my opinion it would have to be a strong potent special pheno as for the skunks & hybrids of skunks ive grown in the past they were'nt all that potent many indicas are very skunky & can develope alot of red hairs so who knows if it was a hybrid or something. Also back in the early 90's there was a strained called THE KILL that i use to get for $70 1/8 that smelled & taste like christmas trees but was flourescent green not dark green that was very potent could it possibly be that? it seems that alot of strains from those days are long gone its unfortunate cuz some of those strains were way better then anything today.

the kill sounds good but there was no christmas tree smell the smell of this strain was a skunky, musky, earthy kind da dankness and was best on the exhale ive never tasted before or after kind of too complex to give a discripion it did not taste fruity or anything like that very unique. the buds were dark almost as dark as like mexican brick but not quite you could still tell this was green weed well grow high grade stuff it had nice size buds with fire truck red hairs never seen red hairs like it.

Definitely remember the Kill as you described it, but from around 85 and was Santa Cruz grown if I remember correct. All the Humbolt buds I got from this time to the 90s was lime green but frosty indica nugs. Very sweet and hashy. There was a strain with lots of red hairs and golden/green large buds from Mendo I cant remember the taste but it was some of the stoniest weed I have ever smoked.
