In need of some instruction

Hey guys so I'm helping out my friend's dad with his grow and I'm looking for a good journal to read up on to get the basics down really well and know my way arounfd the veg. room and the grow room. He's got all this really awesome equipment set up and he even made a veg. room and got all organic nutrients. While he's gone for the week its up to me to make sure everything is doing ok and I could really use any hep I can get. Any suggestions would be supremely appreciated.

Check out this thread. Many pics of bad things that can happen to your plants. Lots of info. Read it a couple of times.

Don't water too much and keep pH in check and you'll go a long way toward a successful grow. Stitch says too much water is the #1 challenge with new growers. IMO it's hot soil, (pH too low.) Either of the two cause many new growers headaches early on.

Your on the best site for info, better than any book you could read. Jorge Cervantes is a member here himself this is one of the sites he visits for free info so he can print it in his book and sell it for $$$.
Perhaps find a grow log here that the rooms are similar in style to the one your working with, such as room size/wattage/medium, then read it and post a few questions for the grower

Yeah they are definatly right about all the info being in the forums.It really isnt seperated real good and can at times be hard to find what info you need so I thought a book would be a simpler way to begin with.Was just trying to help.

You're right, Pb. A good book at the ready is a handy tool.

Not only is the "good" a bit buried on this site, the search is keyword only. But one can do a text-string search on a search engine and many times ICMag tops the results. Add (1 space)+IC to any string search and ICMag will top the returns automatically. Sometimes the good stuff is in a thread one might not expect.

Thanks for the help! I'll check out that book by Cervantes I've been browsing around on this site and it seems incredibly informative, so I'll be sure to read up a lot. I think once we get our new harvest started I'll start a grow journal here to get the best help I can with my stuff.
oh and Pb - yes it is a damn good book, my favorite!
