These plants has been veggin from 6 september and 2 days ago (2012-10-12) i switched them to 12/12.

Yeah i read and seen videos of it and it can be pretty big but unfortunately i do not have that much space in my cosy DR60.

I realist how bad i am in this so i will expain further about the plants.

The soil is regular growing soil nothing special, when the plant became about 10-12 days old with 24h light i placed some leca to prevent the soil to dry out.

Veg time: 35 DAYS

And now we're in the 3 day of the flowering peroid, i think they are lookin quite nice. :biggrin:

What do you guys think of the growth progress? Because its my first time on a indoor grow i dont really know if im gonna have a nice harvest or is it something i can do to push them to the max?
Any tips and trix is welcome, after all its my first time indoor so drop all the tips you guys and girls have.

Are you sure they will grow bigger of that?
Can you explain what the effect will be?

U know what i feel about it, but maybe i should go for it if it's the way to go indoor.

Indoor cultivation, for me, is decidedly different from outdoor. Outdoor you don't have to worry, will the light penetrate the canopy deeply enough? Of course it will, it's The Big Metal Halide in the Sky! Indoors, not so much.

So what I do is keep the canopy itself shallow, I don't want the plant to struggle to keep leaves or anything alive that light is not getting to. For my 600s, that's about 12" total of vertical canopy depth. Leaves below that are removed, not just because they're getting no light, but to ensure best air flow through the area, and so I can see the tops of the pots.

But canopy control isn't just about leaves, it's about getting the plant to produce the best form of product it can. And that didn't click for me until I read about farming Medjool dates. Then I understood the ideas behind lollipopping, pistil-whipping, etc. Removing bud sites that have the least potential is what it's about, selecting *out*, so that those with the best potential are left behind and those are what the plant puts its energy into.

Basic premise is this: The plant is going to produce a given weight in yield. The question becomes is what form that weight will take. Will it be lots and lots of tiny buds, or fewer big, fat buds? Same with Medjool dates, and farmers select OUT fruits on the bract using very refined techniques (spacing, timing, etc) that ensure those giganto 3"-4" dates.

Because my indoor cultivation is sea of green style, I'm not after the biggest root system, or the biggest canopy with the most leaves on it. I'm after 1-2 main colas, decent leaf coverage and the best root system I can get in 1gal pots, which ain't a lot of room for roots. By the time we're past the two week flip stretch, most have roots coming out of the bottoms of the pots.

If I could lift bigger (read: heavier) pots or containers, then I would use a different technique. But, my back just can't take it, even 3gals is too much when having to go back and forth. Thus, my reasons and the why of what I do.

I hear ya brotha, good reading.
I hope your back gets better and that you have all the good indica you need.

Now we have day 11 of flowering, theese tiny hairs are starting to develop on the buds and its nice to see.

2 of the plants are tied down at the top now so the other ones can pick up the pace, i really hope that after all now when i opened up a little in the tent by following Seamaiden's advice to take away alot of the fan leaves they start to shoot some buds!

Seamaiden, i did what you tipt me to do.
What do you think about?

Your plants look pretty damn good to me. Just remember to keep the tops as even as possible (auxins) so they develop well.

Keep watching bud development, too. If you find bud sites that aren't developing well over these next couple of weeks, just pinch them off. Upper leaves that are shading bud sites can be tucked under the screen, to the side, whatever. If those sites fail to develop after removing shading leaves (they shouldn't, they should fatten up nicely) then you may want to go ahead and pinch those off.

Ya got some fat stalks on some of those plants, too.

Thats why i tied this net at the top now, so i can put them horizontal in that way i notice i can keep the light in the same height for a longer time and the plants that slackin can pick up the pace.
And it seems like i have to do it like this if i want some weight in them, tuff to grow in such small amount of space and get a good harvest out of them.
Seamaiden, what do you think i can get out of theese 4 girls? :)

The plant are shooting buds like a mf, and 4 spots on this plants this happens.

No guess as to yield, that's as much on you as anything else. Spiral is right, those Chems seem to be prone to a couple of issues such as hermaphroditism and variegation (or expression of a mosaic virus, not sure what it is). As spiral says, pluck them off, and I advise spritzing with water when you do find them, as it... I don't want to say it kills pollen, but it seems to inactivate it.

I plucked them away as told, thx for the quick response.
I will upload some more pictures maybe tomorrow, lots of buds on them.

I was thinking about cut down the net and take them out och really take care of them then put them back on diffrent spots then earlier, what are you guys think of that? Tie every stalk so i will get a 100& light penetration and also tie them down some, im worried about them pushing away..
I wish i hade ha Secret Jardin 240, the next tent will be just that tent. :)
