Important question about size of intake fan

Hello fellas,

In a room that is 3,5m x 3,3m x 2,9m I have decided to use an extractor fan that will be around 2000 m3/h. I will also use a carbon filter to this. This area will have nine 600w HPS lamps. Can someone help me out on chosing the right size for an intake fan in m3/h or explain to me the right way to calculate it myself?

If you are exhausting to a separate area the negative pressure will pull air in through the intakes passively. You shouldn't need an intake fan if you make you intake vents twice the area of your exhaust.

Have you considered investing in AC & CO2 and sealing the room? That seems like a lot of wattage for a non-controlled environment.

The exhaust fan will pull the air out of the building and the room will be sealed. I am trying to understand how big intake fan I should use for this area.

So if your room will be sealed, you'll have AC, heater, CO2, dehumidifier, right? And the exhaust you're talking about is for cooling the lamps? -granger

Thank you for helping me out. Yes I have them and the fan is for bringing fresh air into the space and cooling the heat from the lamps. I have calculated the size of the exhaust fan but I need help with the intake fan.
