Some members here at ICMAGS take some incredible images of their plants in such high quality they appear to be done by a professional! How do you do it?

Some members here are literally artists with camera in hand. Some of us on the other hand, myself included are still living in the dark ages ( hoping for a new poloroid to be invented! ) when it comes to taking pictures, sorry I show my age with that term apparently as the new term is "images"? Would some of you please share not only some of your imaging secrets but can you also give examples of camera's and imaging outfits from soup to nuts and approx costs in which to build a set up for proper imaging. How do y'all take images and great images of your weed?

Any camera and or camera gear suggestions for point and click shoot for close up macro shots of buds if that level of simplicity is even possible to what seem to be professional outfits would be most appreciated especially for people like myself who despite being engaged in macro images being taken albeit in another industry, my involvement was purely from a spectators chair, now would like to learn how to actually do it and what I would need in order to do so properly and in the most simple of ways possible. Surely there are others who are so advanced to be considered professionals in at least from the quality of their images and some of them can be seen here on ICMAGS.

Well for some it truly is an art form because they've been into photography in general and there are things like lighting and composition that they learn that ends up helping the bud shot they take to be even more exceptional. When you start talking gear it can get real complex and real expensive really quickly. For someone like you who is waiting for a new "polaroid" to come out it already has but it's not a polaroid but instead the newer cellphones. Some of the best improvements in cellphones the past several years has focused on making it easier for the average person with little to no photographic skill still be able to take fairly decent quality pictures.

Much of the impact of an image/photo is the result of Composition.
Here are some general guidelines to improve photographs/images. The Rule of Thirds is important.
